Abstract
Under the development of linear economy, global enterprises have faced the tough situations of resource exhaustion, collapse of natural environment, and economic growth’s being hard to persist, while our living environment also undergoes a severe test. Moreover, Taiwan extremely relies on imported resources, thus our thinking of economic development must be transformed. Therefore, the research purpose was to take the point of view of circular economy to explore the business model that the case company CHYHJIUN Jewelry could develop, as well as its anticipated benefits. The research made use of expert interview method, participant observation, and secondary data collection method, and adopted the ReSOLVE framework to probe into its business model and anticipated benefits. The research results showed that: 1. The case company CHYHJIUN Jewelry could develop into six innovative business models. 2. It had the anticipated future benefits of keeping the cost down, fulfilling the corporate social responsibility, creating the value-added brand image, and inspiring other enterprises to follow up.

The Relationship between Financial Agglomeration and Economic Development: The Case of the Five Provinces in Northwest China

Abstract
Finance is the general hub of modern market economy operation and plays a non-substitutable important position in economic progress. The fact of financial agglomeration in promoting the economy has been confirmed in the southeastern coastal areas of China, but for the inland areas of the northwest, there is still little research for this “new topic”, this field of research is still waiting for people to explore. This paper firstly combs the relevant theories of financial agglomeration. On this basis, the five provinces that constitute the northwestern region of China are selected as the research areas. The total amount of financial agglomeration is set as the main explanatory variable, and the GDP growth rate is chosen to be the main explained variable, then we collected and established the panel data for 2008 to 2017. By processing and testing the data, this paper constructs a fixed-effect model for analysis. The results show that the development of financial agglomeration can promote economic development. For every percentage increase in the total financial agglomeration, the growth rate of GDP will increase by 3.19%, and the impact of financial agglomeration on economic development is lagging.

Abstract
The Kyomachiya in Japan is the one that possesses the most traditional woodwork construction method, this study probes the construction method by applying the method of literature discussion for an in-depth analysis on the exterior and design of Kyomachiya architecture. The result of the study shows that buildings established prior to the 25th year of Showa era (The year of 1950) administer the traditional wooden framing construction method to form a single unit of Kyomachiya architecture, as the appearance of the architecture, it is designed with the feature called Koshi for which the identification of landlord’s occupation is used. In addition,Kyomachiya architecture owns a similar exterior features, such as degoshi, dog’s curb, folding chair, rolling blinds and clay tilt. Since Machiya inherits its cultural background and style, it is still being meticulously preserved by the Japanese government as a tangible cultural asset.

Research-Based Approach in Business Courses: An Anchor for Industrial Design Students’ Comprex

Abstract
Students’ academic lives are culminated with a research allowing them to integrate and materialize learnings and translating this knowledge into financially and socially feasible business ventures. De La Salle- College of Saint Benilde is a higher learning institution providing an environment that promotes an entrepreneurial atmosphere especially the Industrial Design Program. Current students manifest high skill in design but despite availability of the latest equipment, facilities and highly trained design professors, it was noticeable that students are challenged on the business aspect of the design industry. It was the intent of the study to determine and tailor-fit a teaching methodology that espouses higher level of learning considering concepts in management, marketing, production/operations management. The proponent consolidated a five-year comparative data utilizing traditional approach in teaching for midterm and research-based approach for finals among students from 2014 to 2019. An average class size of forty (40) students per subject enrolled under Management in Design Practice, Principles of Marketing in Design Practice, Strategic Marketing in Design Practice and Production/Operations Management in Design Practice were among the students subjected to these teaching interventions. The results of the study provided a remarkable improvement in the students’ academic performance given a specific rubric in scoring research outputs with the close monitoring and guidance of the proponent. These evidence supports the researcher’s contention that a research-based approach in teaching business is a grounded foundation and an effective preparation for students who will be taking up COMPREX (Industrial Design Thesis) as a capstone requirement for graduation. Research in business provides the basic business framework and model that students can work with and develop to make their business ventures thrive in the design industry in the future. It is recommended that courses under the business cluster institutionalize the use of a research-based approach through a research output as a final requirement for these courses. A review of the current syllabi must also be undertaken to integrate and formulate guidelines and rubrics in conducting and scoring research outputs. Cluster alignment must also be initiated to ensure that professors are calibrated and well-equipped with teaching materials that are common to all business courses. Finally, seminars and workshops should be conducted as part of the faculty development program.

Students’ Perception on Talk Utilized by University Lecturers

Abstract
In teaching and learning process, language input play an essential role. Based on this fact, it is necessary for teachers to take account to the way how they deliver the information. Students will be easier to acquire the foreign language if they have sufficient comprehention of what teachers talked to them. Hence, knowing the student’s perception on the teacher talk is very important. Teacher talk is considered as one of major language inputs that help learner to acquire the second language and the triger of classroom interaction in which communication occur. Here, the researcher wants to investigate the student’s perception on the lecturers talk in the form of quantity, complexity, relevance, and clarity that utilized by the lecturers in the classroom.

Abstract
The gap of IPV6 readiness and deployment in the Mena region is significant and lagging behind when compared with developing nations. In this paper we present the state of global IPV6 adoption and give example for two countries in Western Asia, mainly Jordan and Saudi Arabia, and the efforts of other countries to deploy IPv6 and replace the old IPv4 protocol. We also highlight the challenges and outline the benefits and opportunities of migrating to the new IP protocol in terms of accessibility, innovation and economic growth.

Leakage Analysis of Labyrinth Sealing Using Mathematical Modelling

Abstract
Labyrinth sealing leakage has been investigated by means of numerical approach. The developed mathematical model was used for studying the influence of labyrinth sealing cavity depth and number of cavities on the leakage rate. Results indicate that the cavity depth value at which minimum leakage can be achieved is dependent on the x-velocity. Leakage is the least at the depth value with the maximum velocity. The effect of number of cavities on leakage was also checked, and it was found that leakage is minimised when the number of cavities is increased. Although the current work involved a comprehensive study of the labyrinth sealing parameters, the present paper only discusses cavity depth and number of cavities for conciseness and brevity.

Abstract
A pyrolyzer was fabricated for collection of liquid products from pyrolysis of untreated bamboo saw dusts from UPV-Bamboo Enterprise Development Project. Collection and analysis of the liquid products were performed for two temperature ranges from 490-500oC and 550-560oC. Based on the generated method from the fabricated pyrolyzer, the yield ranges from 8% to 16%.The analyses included the physicochemical properties of the liquid products such as the pH, viscosity, density, and heating value. For temperature ranges of 490-500oC and 550-560oC, mean values of pH were 4.47 and 4.30; density values were 1087.37 kg/m3 and 1066.76 kg/m3; viscosity values were 1.32 mm2/s and 1.62 mm2/s; and heating values were 1.99 MJ/kg and 2.51 MJ/kg respectively. The results showed that there was no significant difference in the pH, viscosity, calorific value, and density of the untreated bamboo saw dust with different operating temperatures of the pyrolyzer equipment using a One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) since the p-value of each test were greater than the specified α=0.05 level of significance.
