Professor Dr. Steffen Backert, from Friedrich Alexander University Erlangen Germany Delivered a Keynote Speech on “One Health Approach: Service to the Worldwide Community” at Global Illuminators 4th Annual Conference ETAR November 27-28, 2017, Bali Indonesia

Prof. Dr. Steffen Backert is professor and faculty member at the Friedrich Alexander University Erlangen in Germany. He is also the head of the Erlangen Center of Infection Research (ECI). Prof. Backert’s is working in the field of Microbial Pathogenesis for more than 20 years. His area of interest is investigation of molecular signaling pathways during host-pathogen interactions in enteric infections such as that of Helicobacter pylori and Campylobacter jejuni bacteria. He has published 5 books, 194 scientific papers in internationally recognized journals and gave more than 160 lectures at research conferences worldwide. He was delivered a speech on “one Health Approach: Service to the worldwide community” and he discussed in his speech its importance and multidisciplinary methodologies how to improve the Human health and the global environment. He also discussed various aspects of Health approach in different environments. He appreciated the vision of Global Illuminators family of scholars for serving the humanity through research initiatives.
