Prof. Dr. Catherine Trudelle, Professor at Université du Quebec at Montreal, Canada, delivered a keynote speech at Conference MTAR, September 29-30, 2016, Bangkok, Thailand. Catherine Trudelle is a pioneer in research of use of relational data model to study collective action, mobilization, and urban conflicts. She has many publications in different journals. Professor Catherine Trudelle is also a Fulbright Fellow since 2006 and a member of the Royal Society of Canada since 2015. She delivered a speech on new approaches in urban conflict analysis and discussed different social equity problems which may give rise to, depending on the circumstances, popular resistance taking the form of urban conflicts. She discussed the trends that are emerging in the disciplines and fields of study interested in the organization of territories and the decision-making processes shaping these territories. She also discussed different approaches to conflict like Challenges and Scientific Contributions in society.
