Dr. Clara Evi Citraningtyas, from Universitas Pelita Harapan, Indonesia, delivered a keynote speech at our Dubai Conference, which was held at October 05-06, 2016. Currently Clara is serving as a full time lecturer at Universitas Pelita Harapan in Indonesia. She is a profound scholar from Indonesia whose research spans a diverse range of educational fields, but is broadly unified by her long-standing interests in the ideology and pedagogy of texts, and global shifts on children’s literature in education and culture. She was awarded by John Crawford Scholarship Scheme to pursue her Master of Arts in English literature at Macquarie University Australia. She, then, earned her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in literature from Macquarie University under the Aus Aid Scholarship programme. She currently focuses on the impact of folktale reconstruction on the education of children. She delivered a speech on “Folktale Reconstruction for the Advancement of Human Capital” and discussed different aspects of human capital advancement.Human capital is a measure of the economic value of an employee’s skill set. This measure builds on the basic production input of labour measure where all labour is thought to be equal.
