Abstract

This paper focuses on the problems related to the public utilities with references to the background of managing deficits. There is also, a study to provide the ways of low transaction costs to get efficiency on any level of production capacity with no consequence on the short or long-run, and next to the specific of delivery for utilities.

The Relative Importance of Quality Costs in Jordanian Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Sector and their Deficiencies

Abstract

The aims of study is to determine the relative importance of each of the elements of quality costs, classified to prevention costs, appraisal costs, internal failure costs, and external failure costs, and deficiencies related to these elements, in Jordanian pharmaceutical manufacturing sector. The sample was selected using simple random sampling with a sample size of 9 Jordanian pharmaceutical companies from population consist of 24 companies at the end of 2015. A total of 50 questionnaires were distributed to quality and production managers in sample study, out of 50 questionnaires, only 40 were fit for analysis, one sample t-test was used to test the hypotheses of the study. The most important results of study were: awareness among the responses of study members about the importance of the elements of four dimensions of quality costs. The most deficiencies in the prevention costs elements related to fail of existing quality reference manual to match production specifications in continuously basis. And the most deficiencies in the appraisal costs elements involved in developing agreed
standards for classifying products into good and defective or damaged  ccording to the level of their quality. And showed the deficiencies in internal failure costs elements involved in estimating lost time costs on the ehabilitation products. And deficiencies in the external failure costs elements related to estimating costs of losing customers and decreased in market share because of customer’s dissatisfaction of product quality. Finally, the study recommended Jordanian pharmaceutical manufacturing management increased their attention to quality system planning costs in continuously and permanently basis

Religions and the Law of Armed Conflict: A Question of Compatibility

2

Pages 13-18

Abstract

There is a common propensity among the general people as well as the secular or modern law of armed conflict lawyers to claim that religions had no major role in the evolution of the contemporary law of armed conflict. This paper has found that the law of armed conflict as it stands today, is not the product of any one particular culture. In fact, it is embodied in many cultures or religions-Islam, Christianity, Judaism and Hinduism. Moreover, religions may at times have a more prominent impact than laws on the behaviour of the parties involved in armed conflict. It is particularly true considering that religions are likely to work as an added force beyond the legal system. Also with the ever increasing quantity of the non-state entities in the contemporary world and their growing inclination to consider themselves beyond the scope of existing law, religions appear to be the likeliest to add some persuasive value to the existent framework of the law of armed conflict.

Abstract

The issues of generator usage are considered in coordination with the types of installed hydroturbines, wind installations and other equipment, as well as considering modes of their operation, which allows providing economical efficiency of keeping the mode, that is optimal operation of the unit with maximum usage of water and other resources. Low cost, easy servicing and operational reliability, and high efficiency coefficient make usage of the developed generators on magnets extremely effective.

Straight-Flow Hydro Turbine for Small Rivers

Abstract

Advantages of renewable power sources are connected with ecology, inexhaustibility of resources and also with possibility of energy obtaining in hard-to-reach places of inhabitants habitation. Water energy is the most important regenerative energy source in the world nowadays. Depending on geographical conditions in different countries its part greatly differentiates. Energy quantity, which could be obtained from water, can be easily doubled. First of all, small hydropower stations could fit well into landscape and nature. Hydropower stations, which use water flow, are the most adapted for industrial energy generation. From the ecological point of view small and mini hydropower stations harm least of all. They minimize flood zones by means of cascade system application. Hydro turbines are very simple in their construction. There is no necessity in fuel and they have comparatively high coefficient of efficiency. Considerable part of world electricity generation falls to the share of hydro turbines nowadays. Therefore, this wonderful device is justly among the greatest inventions.

The Vortex Wind Power Plant with a Flow Concentrator

Abstract

Actuality of studies is related to protection of environment from pollutant emissions from power heating power industry facilities by development and introduction of renewable energy sources. At the moment, nobody doubts that utilization of solar, wind and other types of energy shall be continuously increasing. The theory of wind motors being developed for several centuries is far from completion. Moreover, we can state that there are no accurate and reliable methods for aerodynamic analysis of wind-driven power plants. Development of wind power engineering requires application of new solutions related with concentration of flow, exclusion of flow impact on reverse stroke of windwheel, creation of reliable modes of wind turbine operation, application of additional physical components contributing to growth of efficiency of the wind power plant.

Abstract
We suggest a new system of maps with fractional exponents for the description of scale-invariant distribution of current carriers and impurities in nanostructured semiconductor films. We have described morphology of semiconductors containing quantum dots, quantum nanowires and quantum wells. Using of our theory we can take into account influence of phonons on distribution of fractal nanostructures. We have defined values of scaling factor corresponding to a quantum-size formation of certain type. Results of our theory have been confirmed by numerous experimental data.
